Our Methodology

How we work with every family

Before we discuss any legal options, we spend time listening. Family situations are specific — the same legal framework can apply very differently depending on what each person actually needs. Our process begins with understanding, not with a standard checklist.

From there, we explain the realistic options clearly, including what each involves, how long it might take, and what it costs. We do not present a single recommended path unless we genuinely believe it is the right one. We let clients decide, with proper information.

Step 01

Listen

We hear your situation fully before offering any direction.

Step 02

Clarify

We explain options and their implications plainly, without pressure.

Step 03

Support

We walk alongside you through each step of the chosen process.

Service 01

Divorce & Separation Counsel

Compassionate guidance through separation and divorce, focused on clarity, dignity, and protecting what matters to you. We move at a pace you are comfortable with and explain each step kindly.

In Thailand, divorce can take different forms depending on whether both parties agree or whether the matter involves disputed assets, property, or custody. We help clients understand which pathway applies to them and what to expect at each stage — from the initial documentation through to registration or court proceedings.

This service includes:

Initial consultation to assess your situation
Explanation of mutual consent vs contested divorce procedures
Guidance on asset separation and marital property under Thai law
Document preparation and review
Representation at district office or family court as required

Typical process steps:

1

Initial meeting — we hear your situation and outline your options

2

Document review and preparation of required paperwork

3

Negotiation or court representation as needed

4

Registration of divorce and confirmation of final arrangements

Service 02

Child Custody & Support Arrangements

Thoughtful support in arranging custody and support with the wellbeing of children at the centre. We help you find fair, workable arrangements while keeping conversations calm and respectful.

Thai law distinguishes between parental authority and physical custody. Understanding both, and knowing how courts evaluate each parent's situation, helps families approach these discussions from a more grounded position. We provide that grounding, then help with whatever form the final arrangement takes.

This service includes:

Explanation of parental rights and responsibilities under Thai law
Guidance on how child support amounts are typically calculated
Help preparing a workable co-parenting or custody plan
Assistance negotiating or formalising an arrangement
Support if arrangements need to be reviewed or modified later

Typical process steps:

1

Consultation focused on the child's current situation and both parents' positions

2

Legal explanation of custody types and support frameworks

3

Drafting of proposed arrangements and negotiation between parties

4

Formalisation of the agreed plan through court or written agreement

Service 03

Family Mediation & Reconciliation

Gentle mediation to help family members talk through differences and seek common ground. A caring alternative for those hoping to resolve matters with less conflict.

Mediation works by creating a structured environment where each person can speak, be heard, and work toward an outcome that both can accept. It is not a debate or a negotiation in the adversarial sense — it is a facilitated conversation with someone who remains neutral throughout. Our mediator brings extensive experience in Thai family dynamics and an approach that keeps the focus on shared interests, not fixed positions.

This service includes:

Pre-mediation assessment with each party separately
One or more structured joint mediation sessions
Neutral facilitation with no advocacy for either side
Written record of any agreements reached
Follow-up session if needed to review progress

Typical process steps:

1

Separate intake meeting with each family member to understand their perspective

2

Joint session(s) facilitated by our mediator in a calm, private setting

3

Identification of shared priorities and areas where agreement is possible

4

Written summary of outcomes and any agreed next steps
